Hi! I'm Iviana Bynum.

A celebration is coming

Published about 1 year ago • 1 min read

Okay, the podcast is not turning 50 years old, but it’s reaching 50 episodes this Sunday. Definitely worth celebrating!

Hi friend-

I feel like I’m reaching out to one of my friends that I haven’t chatted with in a long time and we finally connect and say, “I have so much stuff to tell you!”

Then it takes a two-hour phone call for us to catch up. This one won't be like that, though. I have an episode coming out on Sunday to share big updates and it hopefully won't take me two hours to share them all.

And I’m using it as an opportunity to reveal things about my life that fear of judgment kept me from sharing.

In the last few months, a lot has happened at Grace for Breakfast, in my heart, and in my life including a big move. I’m going to share that and more.

Also, many new members have joined the Envision Workshop, which is going through some changes of its own.

And, I’m launching a new group program that I’ve been planning for months.

In the meantime, let me catch you up on the last few episodes. Choose what you want to listen to and go further back if you’re inspired. The interviews have been both powerful and special. Particularly on solo episodes (just me), I've received comments such as, "This was exactly what I needed," and "That was so timely."

Shall I ascend or descend or does it even matter?

Ep 49: It’s Never Too Late to Try Again with Robyn Polk

Ep 48: Award-Winning Author Teri M. Brown Shares Inspiring Journey of Overcoming Abusive Marriage

Ep 47: Overcoming Entitlement & Raising Strong Men with Ahmard Vital

Ep 46: Permission to Offend, Unfiltered and Unafraid with Rachel Luna

Ep 45: Release for Inner Peace

On Sunday, I’ll email you a reminder when EPISODE 50 goes live so you can join me in the celebration!

With so much love,

Iviana

"Oh Father, give me the words." That's what I end up telling myself as I draft the beginning of an email. It's hard to start these when I have so much to say and some time has passed. But when you're among friends.. Happy New Year and Happy Friday Reader! The end of year scaries that try to kick in for many people didn't get a chance to stick around for me because I was too busy fighting off the flu with my entire family. New Year's Eve was spent holding a giant bowl under my daughter's mouth...

healing from sexual trauma

Trigger Warning: This episode contains content related to sexual trauma, rape, and abuse. Listeners, please beware. Anyone who is sensitive to this topic please be advised that I’ll be talking about some of the incidents that occurred that day. Reader, I've shuffled back and forth for the past three or four days debating whether or not I should share this story with you. I've never gone this deep before. You know I've been through some stuff but most of it has been vague for the most part....

Every person faces trauma in a different way—either now or later when it comes unexpectedly. It’s true for many of us. Trauma happens and the results can be ugly. Some of us have the support needed. Some of us numb it out. Some of us suffer silently. Reader, thank you for the well-messages after my email last month and for the encouragement to keep doing what I’m doing. In the past, I would have just hidden away in my cocoon and never invited you into what was happening in my inner world....
